This book covers the life of Tigran Petrosian from 1946-1963 and the 30 games have been carefully selected from this period, thus giving a concrete idea of his style and tendencies. The author adopts a lively approach, the book being both biographical and technical. It is an extremely readable book similar in style to a novel. More advanced players will probably prefer the last part of the book which contains analysis of more positional games, but they will also enjoy the tactical achievements, and in this way each part of the book is as important as the others.
Condition: Fair. Descriptive Notation. Scuffing and staining to front and back covers.
